my photo Francesco Tortorella was born in Salerno, Italy, on August 10, 1963. He received a Laurea degree with honors in Electronic Engineering in 1991 and a Ph. D. Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering in 1995, both from the University of Naples "Federico II", Italy. Currently he is Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cassino. His research interests are in the fields of optical character recognition, map and document processing and neural networks.
Francesco Tortorella is a member of the IAPR.
